Moodboards

We chose the genre thiller/noir because of the wide range of interesting characteristic movies to choose from. Our opening credits will establish a mood that is easily recognisable as our chosen genre. Thriller/Noir is traditionally filmed in black and white with lots of shadows created by low-key lighting schemes accompanied by an orchestra playing intensely in the background. The openings often feature narration from the lead character and are set at night usually in the streets or in an office. Wide and low angle shots are used repeatedly and often important objects on the screen are obscured, for example, by shadows.

Our ideas plan to make use of the many conventions on offer and we will almost certainly be filming in black and white. We plan to use both indoor and outdoor locations, following the progress of the lead character in typical noir clothes. Moody music will play in the background.
